What if Jesus Was Never Born?
Our eldest son had, and has, a very enquiring mind. His frequent question when he was young was ”What if…?”
Many, many questions.
Today I ask the question….. What if Jesus was never born?
Here are some of my thoughts and you can add yours: -
We would think that God is judgemental, demanding, punishing, distant, and only for the Jews.
We would not know the inclusiveness of God…” For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son…” John 3:16
We would not experience the releasing power of sins forgiven. We don’t have to live with the burden of guilt!
We would not have the incredible, wholesome ,life-giving teachings of Jesus;
He taught us to love one another, as He loved us.
He taught us the value of all people, creatures and nature.
He commanded us to forgive.
Incredible ‘wisdom’ teaching e.g. Sermon on the Mount
His proclamation about eternal life. ”In my Father’s house there are many mansions and I go to prepare a place for you..”
